This picture is dedicated to every ReBoot fan
Ever since the news of ReBoots revival im sure fans have been worried about where they will take the look of ReBoot for motion films. And although I cant give any reasurence towards how the story will go, I wanted to offer my views of how Reboot characters can be made in higher detail, and more realistic, and yet look almost exactally the same. However, I am in no way working with rainmaker entertainment. I would certantly love to one day, but I sapose I need some schooling first. All im trying to do is show the loyal fans that there are ways for reboot to look different and yet still be reconizable. I would also like to go into some detail on the things I wanted to change, Bob: I actually started this by only wanting to do bob. I started with a front pose base and started to add on details. I drew three layers, eatch a different costume Idea. And although they all looked super bad ass, none of them looked like bob. I had straps, extra gagets. I was simply trying to make him look cool. So I had to re think things. Getting rid of it all I started off again thinking of who bob was. Although bob is special to all of us, In the reboot world hes simply just a common guardian thats protecting a small little system. So his over all look shouldnt be too exagerated. I started off drawing what he originally looks like, but slowly making it look more like actual clothing, making some areas not so plain. giving him some slight extra armor since he is a protector. The idea of the two different gauntlets was originally going to be the arm with glitch had a more extravagent one. but I then realized not all guardians actually had keytools. So the other arm I gave a small device that could comunicate or other tasks for the guardians who dont have keytools or in case a tool runs low on energy. Megabyte: Megabyte was alot easyer then bob. Since I had already made a classic megabyte when I first started learning maya, I put together a pose of him and simply drew over top. There were alot of things about megabyte I wanted to be sure to fix. I wanted to add detail to all the joints were peices were simply slid into place. and areas like his gut and neck that were able to move like flesh before I gave metal sheets so it could still be movable. As for his build, I always liked how megabyte looked very muscular. And I wanted to work with that. So mainly with his arms I added flexable peices to make him look more beefy. The rest was simply adding detyail to areas that were to plain. I would love to hear all of your comments, complaints, things you liked, things you hated. and from there I want to actuall Model these two In my 3d program.
